Bookings for the 2027 season open on October 15th, 2026. All refuges and gîtes that are members of the Tour du Mont-Blanc Wardens' Association will be available for booking from that date. You can plan your entire itinerary in a single session as soon as bookings open.
How to plan your route
The TMB is one of the most popular long-distance treks in the world. Some refuges fill up very quickly after opening. Here are a few tips to secure your route in the best possible conditions.
Book quickly — spots go fast, especially on the busiest stages. Do not wait if your dates are fixed.
Start with the most in-demand stages. Some accommodations have limited capacity. Book these first, then build your itinerary around them.
Check the opening and closing dates of each accommodation. In June and September, some refuges may not yet be open or may have already closed for the season. This information is shown on each refuge page.
Useful reminders before you book
- Half board is the standard arrangement: night, dinner and breakfast
- Bring a sleeping bag liner; blankets are provided
- Bring cash in euros and Swiss francs for extras
- Report any change of plan as soon as possible: a released bed benefits another walker
The conditions banner on this website shows the opening status of refuges and trails throughout the season.
